December 12 we had the chance to attend FinTechStage in Madrid, organized by Lázaro Campos and Matteo Rizzi. It was a great opportunity to get to learn more about far-reaching topics like FinTech investments in Spain, the role of regulators in RegTech, and other impressions on the application of artificial intelligence in financial services.

About Fintechstage

The conference was attended by startups, investors, regulators, partners, and suppliers to join forces in a growing industry that continues to encounter obstacles at every turn from the regulatory resistance and how quickly technology advances in this day and age. A difficult yet motivating challenge for all those present.

An event with a global vision that operates in the entire world and that has already organized events in places like Buenos Aires, Chicago, Singapore, Milan, and Maputo and major sponsors like Santander bank, Selfbank, and the Spanish Fintech and InsurTech Association.

How was the day organized?

Participants gave a play by play with hashtag #FTSMD17:

Panel with summary of the conference filled in as the talks take place on the podium. Really original and explanatory!

The experts that came together that day in the Eurostars tower offered their views on PSD1, GDPR, and challenging banks and talked about the RegTech world and artificial intelligence. Everyone in attendance enjoyed the interesting discussions about the latest innovation in FinTech and new opportunities.

A highly recommendable event for everyone in the FinTech, RegTech, InsurTech, artificial intelligence, and financial inclusion worlds trying to work together towards the same goals.
